Have questions about the Land Bank’s tree program, TERP? Here are the answers:
What types of trees are available?
All the trees offered are shown to do well in the local climate and are not invasive. Currently, program participants may choose from four types of trees:
- Frontier Elm
- Upright Hornbeam
- Japanese Silk Lilac
- Redbud
What size are the trees?
Tree sizes vary. See the Land Bank’s website for helpful information about making a choice for the home and the space.
How can I find out if my neighborhood is eligible for TERP?
To find out if your neighborhood qualifies, please apply and let the Land Bank staff research your address to determine if your area is eligible. Most city of Dayton properties are eligible.
What is the deadline for ordering for the next planting?
The order deadline for the fall planting is August 6. The Land Bank will approve applications into August and then place a tree order. If approved, the trees will be planted in October.
What if I miss the deadline?
The applications are accepted on a rolling basis. If your request isn’t approved for fall, the application will be rolled into spring.
