100 Transformations and Counting 2

Remarkable transformation: Geneva Road DIY project, before and after.

One hundred residential eyesores are no longer dragging down property values and the appearance of many Montgomery County neighborhoods.

Through the Land Bank’s Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Renovation Program – now in its fourteenth year – vacant properties with renovation potential have been made available to the public. And the transformations have been remarkable.

Earlier this fall, the program reached a milestone: 100 successful DIY renovations, this one on Geneva Road in Dayton.

“We couldn’t have achieved this milestone without the renovators, contractors, and partners whose dedication and hard work made this possible,” said Executive Director Paul Bradley. “Together, we’ve saved 100 houses in Montgomery County—transforming neighborhoods and creating opportunities for new beginnings.”

While the Montgomery County Land Bank staff continues to provide full time customer service to our customers,

IN PERSON MEETINGS with members of the Land Bank staff REQUIRE AN APPOINTMENT.
